Final Destination 5 follows on from the previous 5 FD films where a character has a vision of him/her and several friends dying, and then manages to evade the disaster. They then go on to find out that there’s no way that they can ‘cheat death’.
Each film follows the same layout of plot. Everyone is going to die, it’s just a matter of when and how.
Final Destination is up there at the top of the most popular ever Horror series of films. FD5 was the first of the franchise to be produced in 3D.
Things I like about this film:
· Impressive array of special effects
· Builds suspense very well
· There is a decent narrative to the story
· The horror is actually scary
Things I don’t like about this film:
· Weak display of dialogue
· We learn little about the characters
· Little character interaction (would be nice to see some other storylines happening simultaneously)
· We know what is going to happen in the end, it’s no surprise
I will definitely take from this film some tips to help me with my own.
